HEYWARD ALLEN GMC REVIEWS 2019 GMC SIERRA 1500 CREW CAB

March 1st, 2019 by

Beginning in 2004, GMC has offered a crew cab option for the Sierra 1500 half-ton truck. The crew cab features four doors to provide easy access to the six passenger cabin. Two bed lengths are available and that allows drivers to choose the hauling capacity they need.

The newly redesigned Next Generation GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab provides the quality consumers expect from GMC in an all new package. The new Sierra 1500 is no longer a twin to the Silverado in appearance. Inside and out, the Sierra 1500 Crew Cab has features that set it apart from others in the class.

Exterior
The Sierra has a reshaped grille that is larger with a new texture and finish. The larger grille allows increased airflow to the engine. The rear bumper features large footwells on both corners to allow easier access to the cargo area. The Six-Function MultiPro tailgate is intended to improve the accessibility of the cargo area. The Sierra’s upscale look is emphasized by signature LED taillights and LED headlights. Adding to Sierra’s distinctive look are the wheels. Depending on the trim package, the Sierra features 17″, 18″, or 20″ wheels. The wheels are closer to the corners to provide more efficient use of cabin space.

Interior
The controls of the Sierra 1500 are placed for maximum driver comfort and usability. The cabin now has available hidden storage compartments to provide adequate space to hold daily convenience items that people carry with them. To make passengers in the rear seats more comfortable, GMC has equipped the Sierra 1500 Crew Cab with more leg room in the back as well as providing rear vents to maintain comfort levels. The Sierra has been designed to help keep road noises out of the cabin.

Performance
Depending on trim package, GMC offers a 2.7 L Turbo engine, a 5.3 L V8, a 6.2 L V8 or a 3.0 L Duramax Turbo Diesel inline 6-cylinder engine on the new Sierra. The 2.7 L Turbo and the 5.3 L V8 are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The 6.2 L V8 and the 3.0 L Duramax Turbo Diesel are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
